Looking for something delicious to do this weekend? Sink your teeth into GastroFest this Saturday, March 21st in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. This local culinary adventure is a Jax foodie’s dream come true. Many of Jacksonville’s premiere eateries will be on-hand to help showcase our incredible local food scene. The festival’s central location will be at Hemming Park from 11am until 10pm, with food tastings, music, kids activities, cooking demos, and culinary workshops happening throughout the day. But the adventure doesn’t end there. Venture out from Hemming Park and catch a few of the other GastroFest events happening in the area, like free talks and films at MOCA, tasting sessions at Bold Bean Coffee Roasters, a cocktail contest at The Candy Apple Cafe at Sweet Pete’s, and book signings at Chamblin’s Uptown.
The line-up of GastroFest tasting vendors is impressive and extensive, with some of our all-time favorites topping the list. It isn’t often that you can try such a wide variety of great restaurants, food trucks, breweries, and caterers all in one place, so take advantage of this opportunity to taste some of the best of what the Jax has to offer. Be sure to check out the offerings from Moxie, Ceviche, Intuition Ale Works, Corner Taco, Blue Bamboo, Tapa That, Tres Leches, Veteran’s United Craft Brewery, Culhane’s Irish Pub, and Perard’s, as well as tons of other amazing vendors. And don’t forget to share your experience with us and let us know what you think! We already know what a thriving food scene there is here on the First Coast. Let’s support our local home-grown restaurants, spread the word, and help get Jacksonville on the map as a tasty culinary destination. See you there!
