Orange Park Food Truck Rally – This Saturday!

Orange Park!  You asked, and the Jax Food Truck Food Court has provided!  It’s time for the next huge food truck rally of the year and this time it will be located at the Orange Park Town Hall at 2042 Park Avenue.  This will be an evening rally, so come relax and enjoy cooler temperatures from 4 to 9 pm and enjoy some fantastic dinner!  This event is to benefit the Arthritis Foundation for children.  Each truck will be donating a portion of their proceeds to the cause, so bring your whole family!  This is a family friendly event and will include bounce houses, a playground, and face painting.

The Happy Grilled Cheese: People’s choice for best food truck in all four major Jacksonville publications.  Take it cheesy with their Daddy of the Mac and loaded cheese fries and a comforting, made from scratch daily tomato soup!  You’re also not going to want to miss their “Happy Ending” brownie layered with cream cheese.

Chubby Burrito: New to the Jacksonville food truck scene, Chubby Burrito specializes in authentic Mexican style street food.  All food is freshly prepared daily and focuses on simple, authentic flavors.  The carne asada street tacos are a can’t miss order.  Oh, and did we mention there are churros?!

Cuban Fire Grill: Authentic, slow cooked, homemade cuban cuisine featuring Cuban sandwiches, lechon asado, ropa vieja, and flan for dessert.  We have never had anything we didn’t like from Cuban Fire Grill!  This is Florida comfort food at it’s finest.

A Flying Sausage: New to the Jacksonville food scene, this truck has taken off! (ha, ha).  They’re known for serving breakfast around Jacksonville, but for lunch and dinner, their lamb gyro with lamb sausage, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki is a winning choice for sure.  They’re also serving up some pretty stellar tacos that will make anyone happy.

Front Porch Kettle Corn: Start your food truck rally adventure here for an appetizer!  Fresh made sweet and savory popcorn, mouth watering spicy pork rinds, and southern sweet tea.  Take home a few containers to snack on later – you will thank us!

Island Dream: Summertime = Italian Ice!  Island Dream features creamy and unique Italian ice flavors and lemonades.  The flavors change often, but they’re always refreshing and flavorful across the board.  Pro tip: their Oreo Funnel Fries are the perfect choice for anyone with a sweet tooth, they are delightful!

Berry Good Farms: Sticking to a healthy diet?  Berry Good Farms grows their own veggies and prepares fresh and delicious salads and wraps.  Their organization is also a staple of the Jacksonville community and gives back by employing Jacksonville School Board sponsored special needs children and teaching them how to cook and grow their own food.

Muzzi’s Madhouse: Come hungry to order Muzzi’s, these tremendous portions of Chicago style comfort food will leave you ready for a nap.  Their homemade gorgonzola chips with balsamic vinegar, chicken parm subs, and meatball subs are our favorites!

Berndt Ends BBQ: This newcomer to the food truck scene came out swinging with bold flavors, low and slow smoked meats, and homemade sauces.  We’d recommend a meat to try, but truly you can’t go wrong with anything off Berndt Ends menu.  Even their sides shine all by themselves, don’t miss the dat’l beans!

Hapa Li: This food truck took Jax by storm this year and hasn’t slowed down since.  Tender pulled pork, chicken, and their signature spamiyaki burger give us on the mainland a taste of paradise!  Specialty items spam musubi and dessert haupia are unique and flavorful and simply can’t be found anywhere else.

Latin Soul Grille: This truck’s fusion of Latin, Caribbean, Spanish, and BBQ makes for an irresistible menu.  We could eat their chicken tacos and wings every day!  Try their speciality empanadas for a real treat.

Julie’s Sweet Stuff: Cupcakes, brownies, bundt cakes, cookies, and more!  Julie’s Sweet Stuff covers the spectrum on treats no matter what dessert you’re craving.  The freshest ingredients wait for you too and are proudly “grandkid approved” from the owner’s own taste-testers.  I’ve eaten more than my fair share and I always feel like I have a new favorite flavor each time!

Le Petite Cheri Cupcakery: Who doesn’t love cupcakes?  Le Petite Cheri raises the bar with seasonal flavor combinations and fresh toppings.  Their desserts are rich and decadent, just how we like them!  Also don’t miss their fresh made raspberry lemonade!

Delish Kebabs: You’ll smell these grilled kebabs before you get to the truck!  Serving up authentic and award winning Brazilian charcoal grilled kebabs, Delish Kebabs is taking simple food and making it extraordinary.  Their bacon wrapped chicken was the winner of the 2014 Food Truck Wars!  Don’t miss their yuca fries either.

Mama’s Food: Quesadillas, hot sandwiches, rice bowls, and homemade empanadas just like mama used to make.  The steak sandwich is a staple item that you really can’t go wrong with.  We also love their chicken quesadillas.  This truck is a veteran of the road and are clearly around to stay!

Mother Truckin’ Pizza: This Jax favorite serves jumbo pizza slices with fresh toppings and tons of melt in your mouth cheese.  They also offer oven fired subs, soft pretzels, and delicious cheesy bread.  Their deluxe slice and Italian sausage sub can’t be beat!  Want a treat?  Try their toasted ravioli!

Nitrogen Creamery: Do you think ice cream is the best dessert in the world?  You’ll love it even more made with nitrogen!  All flavors are homemade daily using -320 degree nitrogen!  The use of the nitrogen brings out the true flavors of each ice cream and make it quite a decadent treat.  We’re big fans of the nutella (who isnt?) and even their simple chocolate and vanilla!

Sweeto Burrito: It’s easy to see why Sweeto has so many dedicated followers – their burritos are some of the best in town!  Be prepared to share, these are HUGE!  The White Chick, Buff Chick, and Rise and Shiner are our personal recommendations!

Son of a Butcher: Jacksonville’s best authentic philly, and we really can’t disagree.  Son of a Butcher prepares fresh sandwiches, poboys, tacos, and more absolutely loaded with meats and cheeses.  Looking for a hearty meal?  This is your choice!  We cannot get enough of their garlic parm fries.  Go ahead and get two orders, you’ll thank us.

Tikiz: If you’re looking for a refreshing treat, Tikiz shaved ices are where it’s at!  Creatively served inside the fruit (pineapple is served in a pineapple, lemon is served inside a lemon!), these sorbets are the lightest and creamiest around.  The best part is you can dispense your own, so get as little or as much as you’d like!

The Salty Dog: Here is your taste of Americana, everyone!  The Salty Dog focuses on giant beef hot dogs and burgers.  There is also a bacon wrapped deep fried hot dog, so take a breath and prepare yourself for that.  Menu items are served with their delicious and popular waffle fries which are available topped with hearty, cheesy chili.

  1. Y do we have these food truck rallies sponsored by the twn mgr? How greedy n money hungry is he. Does he know this type of activity takes away from our few good Ma & Pa local eatery places. Really inpacks our restaurants. Y does twn council allow this type of activity. 98% of all these food trucks are not from Clay county. Let alone twn of Orange Park. Do we locals n business owners need to get thousands of signatures on a local petition to get this to vote by twn council to ban this giant food activity? Enough is enough, really. Is the twn mgr loosing it? Is there no control over him? Wow, he was even fired from his last town mgr job in Atlantic Beach, Florida.
