If you’re looking to get Mom a food-related gift, here are our top picks:

A candy apple from Sweet Pete’s: Having eaten nearly all of the candy apples in our city, I feel confident that Sweet Pete’s has the best and most consistent quality candy apples. The ratio of chocolate to caramel to apple is perfect, so it honestly feels like it’s not that bad for you, but tastes divine.
Get yours at Sweet Pete’s, 400 N Hogan St, Jacksonville, FL. They are open until at least 9pm every day except Sundays and Mondays

2018 Sweet By Holly Mother’s Day Cupcake Collection: Sweet by Holly is one of the sweetest little shops with the most surprising cupcake flavors. Their minis are the absolute perfect size to enjoy something sweet and decadent, and their flavors are on point. For Mother’s Day, Sweet by Holly has created a collection of one dozen mini cupcakes, decorated and boxed so it is perfect for gifting. The Mother’s Day Collection features such flavors as Strawberry Sundae, Lava Cake, Red Velvet, White Raspberry, and more. The boxes are $20 and can be ordered by calling the store at (904)-564-2711. Pick up is at the St. John’s Town Center store at 4624 Town Crossing Dr #137, Jacksonville, FL.

Hand Pies and Galettes from Flour and Fig Bakehouse: This powerhouse of old fashioned baking will have their own brick and mortar store by the end of the year, but for now you can special order any of their cakes or pies, or pick up some pastries at the Riverside Arts Market on Saturdays. That’s how we recommend getting your hands on their blackberry goat cheese hand pies, seasonal fruit hand pies, and savory galettes. They also have a pie of the month club if you want Mom to feel treasured all year long.

A Personally Selected Cheese Plate from Garter Goods: Maybe your mom is rad and would really just love to share an awesome cheese and charcuterie plate and a bottle of wine with you. First of all, you don’t deserve her. But you can get a fabulous cheese and charcuterie plate hand selected by Jennifer at Grater Goods in Murray Hill. Call ahead to give her a chance to work her magic and fix up your perfect tray at (904)-203-8533. Grater Goods is open 10:30 am – 7pm Tuesdays through Saturdays at 1080 Edgewood Ave S #9, Jacksonville, FL .
