Food Truck Rally To Benefit Local Boy In Need Of Liver Transplant

THIS WEEKEND in Mandarin the food truck community is coming together to support a local three-year-old boy who needs a liver transplant. Bentley Bullard was born with a rare metabolic disorder that doesn’t allow his body to process certain proteins and fats properly. He currently takes multiple medications and has a feeding tube for special nutritional formulas to manage his disorder, but that still leaves Bentley’s life expectancy around 11 years at most. A liver transplant would extend Bentley’s life and give him a better quality of life. His family has raised $32,000 of the $45,000 needed for the liver transplant. The food truck community is helping Bentley’s family get closer to their goal.

If you want to help Bentley, come to the food truck rally this weekend at 9600 San Jose Blvd in the old Kmart parking lot. Eleven trucks will be serving from 4-8pm, including local pet food truck, Pet Wants. There will also be a kids zone, face painting, rock painting, giveaways to an Orlando resort and Jax Jumbo Shrimp tickets, plus music.

The trucks you can plan your dinner around are:
Rite on Que
Sweeto Burrito
Son of a Butcher
Blazin Azn
Saffron Truck
Chubby Burrito
GuanaBana Ice Pops & More
The Blazin’ Buffalo: Ultimate Buffalo Fries
Le Petite Cheri Cupcakery
Pet Wants Jax Beach

We’ll see you Saturday from 4-8pm at the Food Truck Rally for Bentley at 9600 San Jose Blvd! If you can’t come, but want to help Bentley and his family, you can read more about Bentley and donate HERE.
