Chef Ian Fleischmann recently took the helm at Uptown Kitchen + Bar in Springfield. From Spraga to Il Desco, Chef Ian has made his home in elevated kitchens in Jacksonville. He’s bringing his finely honed skills and his passion for Japanese cooking together in a Dinner Adventure like none other.
Uptown Kitchen + Bar is a favorite breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot with locals. Chef Ian is out to prove Uptown’s rightful place in the dinner scene in Jax. With themed off-menu specials Thursday-Saturday every week, Chef Ian is dong what he does best- playing with food.
Join us for a special Japanese Fusion Dinner Adventure, Tuesday, June 6, at 7pm at Uptown Kitchen + Bar. Tickets are $39.99 and include six courses and a craft beer.
First Course: Petite Corvina Chirashi.
Fresh fish over seasoned sushi rice with salmon roe and vegetables.
Second Course: Unagi.
BBQed freshwater eel. Grilled over charcoal and brushed with Tare.
Third Course : Okomonoyaki
Japanese street food: Japanese style savory pancake with cabbage and pork belly.
Fourth Course: Blue Crab Fried Rice
Lightly seasoned short grain rice with pieces of blue crab. Served with a side of Togarashi Aioli.
Fifth Course: Tonkatsu Ramen
Rich pork broth with traditional accompaniments. Poached Egg, Braised Pork, Mushroom, and Green Onion.
Sixth Course: Green Tea Semifreddo
Matcha Semifreddo, Black Sesame Meringue, Aonori
